We had a great time there with Yok and Ali, and Lili too - Yok and Ali took us up into the jungle for a night, which was great fun, and tookus every day to different markets around Maninjau. And speaking of Ali - I see him in your wedding picture in this entry! Looks like you must have met him too! Ali actually took me to his sister's wedding in his village, when I was in Maninjau. It was about an hour out of Bukitingi, and we had to stay the night at his mum's house. Was really great. Know what you mean about being a bit of a celebrity!
